Fabrication of Au-kenyaite nanocomposites with improved catalytic activity

Au-kenyaite nanocomposites was prepared by the addition of hydrazine hydrate and an aqueous solution of HAuCl4 to H+-kenyaite using one-pot method. The Au-kenyaite nanocomposite was found to effectively catalyze the reduction of 4-nitrophenol with sodium borohydride in aqueous solution.
